Stamping mould is a special process equipment for processing materials (metal or non-metal) into parts (or semi-finished products) in cold stamping processing, called cold stamping mould (commonly known as cold die). Stamping is a pressure processing method in which a material is applied to a material by means of a mold mounted on a press at a room temperature to cause separation or plastic deformation to obtain a desired part. Most of the materials used in the manufacture of stamping mould are mainly made of steel. The materials used to make the molds are required to have high hardness, high strength, high wear resistance, proper toughness, high hardenability and heat treatment without deformation (or less deformation) and quenching. It is not easy to crack and other properties. Reasonable selection of mold materials and implementation of the correct heat treatment process are the key to ensuring the life of the mold. For molds with different uses, comprehensive consideration should be given to the working conditions, the stress conditions, the properties of the materials to be processed, the production batch and productivity, etc., and the performance of the above requirements should be emphasized, and then the steel grade and heat treatment are made. The corresponding choice of the process.
When the production quantity of the stamping parts is large, the material of the punch and the mould of the working parts of the mold should be selected from the high-quality and wear-resistant mold steel. The other process structural parts of the mold and the part materials of the auxiliary structural part are also correspondingly improved. When the batch size is small, the material performance requirements should be appropriately relaxed to reduce the cost.
Some products are not made in a single mold, so post-processing is required. We use CNC machining to meet the special requirements of our customers.
